ABOUT THE CAMP

Is cancellation insurance mandatory?

No, it is not mandatory but it is strongly recommended because if you have to cancel at the last moment, due to injury, illness or the loss of employment of one of the parents between registration and the start of the camp, we will refund on presentation of proof. More details in our options section.

Does the camper have to be a French Federation Basket Ball licensee to participate in the camp?

No, not mandatory but if it is not it is necessary a medical certificate of less than 6 months in order to take part in the camp.

The camper stays 2 or 3 weeks, is the weekend option mandatory?

The weekend option is made if the camper does not return home between camp weeks, from Saturday noon to Sunday noon. It includes weekend meals as well as the extra night. A trip to Marseille will be organised. If the camper registers for 3 weeks, two weekend options will have to be taken.

What does the overnight option include?

The overnight option includes the single room, meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) from Sunday after noon to Saturday morning and all camp practice.

What does the day camper option include?

The day camper option includes meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) from Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning and all camp training.

What's in the camper's room?

A single room exclusively for the camper with a single bed with pillow (bolster), a shower, a toilet, a desk, a chair, sheets, toilet paper and a fridge.

The camper must take the TRAIN to come to the camp, at what time should he arrive and leave?

A shuttle with driver provided by the camp will be responsible for bringing the camper there and back between Marseille Saint-Charles station and the camp site. An option to take when registering is 5€ for the round trip. To benefit from the shuttles, we recommend that campers arrive between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday and return between 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. If this is not possible, please contact us.

The camper must take the PLANE to come to the camp, at what time should he arrive and leave?

A shuttle with driver provided by the camp will be responsible for bringing the camper there and back between Marignane airport and the camp site. An option to take when registering this one is 30€. To benefit from the shuttles, we recommend that the camper arrive between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday and return between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. If this is not possible, please contact us.

What time should I arrive for the first day of camp?

The reception will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday July 7, 14 and 21 at TechnoSport before the opening ceremony at 5 p.m. The end of the course will take place on Saturday July 13, 20 and 27 at 12 p.m.

What does the gear package for player contain?

The gear package includes two jerseys and a short. A t-shirt will be offered for campers present during the previous edition.

For day camper option, at what time should we drop him off?

The reception is from 8 a.m. at TechnoSport, practice begins at 8:45 a.m. The end of practice is at 8:00 p.m.

For fay camper, at what time should we pick him up in the evening?

The end of practice is at 8:00 p.m. then there will be dinner. It will be possible to pick it up at 8:30 p.m. just after the meal. You can pick him up right after training at 8:00 p.m. and miss dinner, you’ll have to let us know in advance.

I am a parent or a friend, am I allowed to attend the welcome ceremony?

Yes you are welcome to ask all your questions and meet.

Where do campers sleep?

Campers are in a building specially reserved with single rooms on the Luminy campus, a few steps from the basketball court TechnoSport.

Can the camper wash his clothes during the stay?

Yes, shower machines are available, you will need to bring 2€.

What types of meals are distributed to campers?

These are caterers/foodtrucks specializing in meals for high-level athletes who will take care of children with balanced meals.

Is the Calanque outing organized every week?

Yes one every week, but the Calanque outing depends on the weather. We may not be able to get there during the week, in case the park is closed due to the weather. If this is the case, training will be put in place. It is not mandatory to participate in this outing.

If a camper leaves by train or plane, is a meal provided?

Yes we provide a sandwich for campers leaving by train and plane.

We have to leave before the end of the closing ceremony, is it possible?

Yes, do not hesitate to let us know as soon as possible.

What time is the closing ceremony?

The ceremony takes place every Saturday. The finals start at 9:45 am then the closing ceremony begins at 11:45 am, ending at noon.

I want to cancel my registration, what are the cancellation fees?

You can cancel your order without providing any justification or reason. The following charges apply to any cancellation:

  • 80 € fees up to 60 days before the start of the camp. (until Wednesday, May 8, 2024, 11:59 p.m.). The order concerned will be refunded to you up to 100%-80€.
  • 40% of fees from 59 to 8 days before the start of the camp (from Thursday May 9, 2024 00h00, to Saturday June 29, 2024 23h59). The order concerned will be refunded up to 60%.
  • 100% fee within 7 days before the start of the camp (from Sunday, June 30, 2024 00:00, and once the camp has started. The order concerned will not be refunded.

For any withdrawal, please proceed by email.

Cancellation insurance:

We offer cancellation insurance at €25. The insurance covers your entire order deducted from 25€ (insurance price), only in the following cases:

  • An accident or illness of the trainee making it impossible to practice basketball. You will be asked for a medical certificate, or any other proof attesting to a contraindication to sports practice.
  • The loss of employment of one of the parents between registration and the start of the camp.
  • The death of one of the parents (legal guardian or siblings) between registration and the start of the camp. Proof of death will be requested.

Apart from these three cases, the normal cancellation fees apply (€80 fee up to 60 days before the start of the camp, 40% fee between 59 and 8 days before the start of the camp, 100% fees from 7 days before the start of the camp). Cancellation insurance applies until Friday July 5, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Once the camp has started (Sunday July 7, 2024 00:00), no refund will be possible with or without insurance.

How do I receive camp photos and videos?

A photographer will be present on the camp to capture some moments. Photos will be emailed to you after camp. Follow us on social networks ! (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok et Youtube)

How can I join the team to go to the United States?

Campers participating in the Baz’n camp in July in Marseille have priority for the trip, if you are interested it will suffice to notify it at the time of registration by checking the box provided for this purpose.

If you did not participate in the camp you can make a request by e-mail, via contact@bazncamp.com, which will be studied.

When will I know if I have been selected to join the team?

A confirmation notification will be sent by e-mail between 6 and 5 months before departure.

At the same time, you will receive a link for registration.

When is the trip organised?

Two trips are organized during the season; one in end of October early November, the other one in February.

What is the payment method for this program, is it possible to pay in installments?

You can pay for your stay by bank transfer.

It is possible to pay up to 6 times free of charge (the amount must be paid in full no later than 7 days before departure). If you proceed in several installments, the first payment must be at least 800€. Then, the complement of the sum to be paid must be divided into equal parts in relation to the number of months remaining.

What is not included in the price?

– Transport between your home and Paris or Marseille airport.

– Extras and expenses of a personal nature (e.g. shopping, snacks excluding breakfast, lunch and dinner, etc.)

– Additional baggage costs (baggage that would be added to that originally planned).

– Fees and obtaining ESTA.

– Individual travel insurance linked to the stay.

Quelle est la durée du trajet ?

The departure is from Paris and Marseille. The total duration of the flight can vary between 11 hours and 14 hours.

Will a staff member always be present?

Yes, several members of the Baz’n camp team will be systematically present throughout the trip with the campers.

Is there a time difference between Europe and the United States?

here is a difference of minus 5 hours or minus 6 hours depending on winter time or summer time (when it is 10 a.m. in France, it is 5 a.m. or 4 a.m. in the USA east coast).

How is the accommodation?

The staff as well as the campers are housed in a large secure house entirely reserved for them.

Several collective rooms will be available as well as shared sanitary facilities. Campers will have access to the washing machine and dryer.

How do campers get around on site?

Vehicles will be rented and used for all our trips on site.

How are meals provided?

Breakfasts are taken at home and lunches and dinners are taken outside in restaurants and fast food.

Should insurance be provided?

It is strongly advised to take out an insurance or assistance contract for your health costs on site to cover all costs incurred.

You will have to pay and be reimbursed later.

On our side, we have a multi-risk insurance.

In view of the significant costs in the United States in the event of urgent medical care, you will still have to pay costs.

We also advise you to leave with some medication and / or your regular treatment if you follow one.

What should I take in my suitcase?

We advise to take at least: warm clothing, shorts, a pair of basketball shoes to play basketball, a swimsuit, flip flops, a toiletry bag, a plug adapter (US to France), your t-shirts and Baz’n camp jerseys.

You have the possibility of taking a backpack, a small cabin suitcase and a large checked luggage.

What expenses should be considered?

We cover essential expenses (housing, three meals a day, transportation, plane tickets, game tickets, etc.). However, you may be required to make personal purchases (snacks between meals, shopping, etc.)

Will there be internet and how do I use my phone plan?

Yes, you will have a Wifi connection in the house.

Otherwise, you should check with your provider about the ability to use your phone plan in the United States. If not, we can advise you on purchasing certain plan types.

Will the parents receive any news?

We plan to create a WhatsApp group through which families of campers will be kept up to date on activities and the progress of the program on a daily basis.

We also remain available throughout the stay if you wish to discuss directly with a member of staff.

How do I use my money there?

We invite you to check with your bank to find out the fees related to payments and withdrawals abroad. Your bank charges may be low or even zero, in which case all your payments can be made with your card on site.

Otherwise, to avoid high bank charges, you have the option of leaving with a little money in dollars or making only one withdrawal on the spot.

I want to cancel my registration, what are the cancellation fees?

  • €350 fee Up to 90 days before departure. The order concerned will be refunded to you up to 100%-350€.
  • 60% charge from 89 days to 8 days before departure. The order concerned will be refunded up to 40%
  • 100% charge from 7 days before departure. The order in question will not be refunded.

If an injury or illness occurs during the trip to Orlando no refund can be requested
